Election day. It starts way too early and ends way too late. And depending on your politics, by the time the night is over you can either love it or hate it. The timelines for results are, at best, wishful thinking. Half the time you end up covering campaigns you support. The other half, well, you’re forced to bite your tongue. Typically there’s a lack of food (unless you were blessed with tradition of Election Day Pizza in a newsroom). It’s not something that I’d wish upon anyone to cover day in and day out. 

But for one day every four years, there’s nowhere else I’d rather be.

Hopefully the campaigning will be coming to an end now, even if the races haven’t been called. (SO STOP TEXTING/CALLING ME)
